Walk Again Peru is an initiative that brings Australia and Peru together: it gathers high-quality prosthetic components donated by international organizations and ships them to Peru. At Fundación Ortopre, specialized technicians fit them to each beneficiary.
With the donated components, Ortopre takes care of:

How much does a prosthesis cost through the partnership?
Through the Walk Again Peru and Ortopre partnership you pay 50% of the cost of your prosthesis. The final price depends on the components defined during your evaluation.
What does the prosthesis include?
It is a complete prosthesis: carbon fiber socket; mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic knee; and carbon fiber, multiaxial or SACH foot. The knee and foot are chosen based on your evaluation.
How do I request my prosthesis at 50%?
Fill out the request form. We will contact you to schedule your evaluation, where the components and the final price are defined.
Where does my donation go?
Your contribution goes to the partnership program, so more people can get a leg prosthesis and walk again.
Can I donate any amount?
Yes. On our GoFundMe campaign you choose how much to give, from any country. Every contribution adds up and helps more people get a leg prosthesis.
Do the prostheses use reused components?
Some components come from donations collected by Walk Again Peru in Australia. They are inspected and refurbished before use, and Ortopre’s specialized technicians fit each prosthesis to each beneficiary.
